NATURE APPRECIATION WALK
(Shinrin Yoku)*

Come observe plants and animals on this early summer stroll along a walking trail on Mt. Seaburi.
Date and Time: Sunday, May 26, 8:00am-3:00pm. *Event will be canceled in the event of rain.
Meeting Place
: Higashiyama Onsen Kyōdō Chushajō (Higashiyama Hot Springs Communal Parking Lot)
Hiking Course: Ishiyama Hiking Trail (starting at the Higashiyama Onsen Gateway) to the summit of Mt. Seaburi
Eligible Participants: Elementary school students and older.
Capacity: 50 people
Fee: 500 yen (includes insurance, etc.) *Free for elementary school students.

HEALTHY APRONS COOKING CLASS

Learn how to make healthy, well balanced meals. There will be a lecture and cooking.
Date and Time: Friday, May 17, 10AM-1PM *reception from 9:45 AM

Capacity: 30 people
Fee: 400 yen (for ingredients)

5 KM SPRING HIKE IN OZE (Haru no Oze Haiku)*
Join other hikers and enjoy the natural landscape of Oze! On the way back, participants will stop by a hot spring and relax after the tiring hike. The event will start at 6:45AM at Nishi-Wakamatsu Station on Saturday, May 25 and end at 6:45PM at the same station. The cost of the event is 4,800 yen including round trip train fare, and insurance. It does not include the entrance fee to the hot spring bath. Participants are responsible for their own lunch and rain gear. The application deadline is Wednesday, May 22nd. FIREFLY VIEWING (Hotaru Kanshō Kai)*
Visitors will be guided to where they can view fireflies.
Date and Time: Saturday, June 15, 7:00pm-9:00pm. In the event of rain, the viewing will be cancelled.
Meeting Location: In front of the main entrance of Kita Aizu Shisho (City Hall Branch Office in Kita Aizu)
Capacity: 15 people
Eligible Participants: People who live in the city *Elementary school students and younger need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian
